STUDENTS AND YOUNG PROFESSIONALS
The right person in the right place
is a prerequisite for Saab's ability to continue its development
and attain new successes.
And because we know the students of today can be the key employees of tomorrow it is imortant for us to create opportunities at an early stage.
It is a fact that the first step for you within Saab can take place before you have completed your formal education, via thesis project and practical training that we can offer.
For Young Professionals we will start a Trainee program in Sweden in March, 2013.
Every year Saab visits universities and colleges, on its own initiative or at career fairs. Planned visits can be found in the Calendar on the Career page (please note, the Calendar will only be visible if visits are planned during present month).
For students who want to work with the latest in
technological development, Saab is the place. Saab offers
stimulating, challenging, developmental thesis subjects in a
climate of innovation.
Many thesis work subjects cover completely new fields, where students will face a great deal of fascinating problems and challenges. Thesis work placement at Saab can inspire and spur on to great things in a future career.

Thesis projects are advertised on the Vacancies page. Simply choose “Position type” followed by “Master Thesis"

programme in Sweden
Saabs trainee programme is an exclusive customized development programme aimed to accelerate the participant’s career. As a trainee you will be able to see and work in different parts within Saab Group both in Sweden and abroad and you will get a unique holistic view and a broad network of contacts.
The purpose of the programme is to get to know different parts of the company see the various products and services and solve practical tasks on site. The programme provides you with knowledge and experience and you will meet numerous interesting people during the trainee year, both inside and outside the company. This gives you a unique overall view and a useful network, which we know will benefit your career with us. The success of your year as a trainee depends largely on how you embrace the opportunities provided.
As a trainee you will from day one receive a permanent employment at a department in one of our business areas. The department is your starting point and we will help you create an individual programme based on your and your department's interests and needs. You will have a tutor and a mentor to support you during the programme.
